Frickadeller (Danish Pork Meatballs)
Serves 4

  • 1 package of ground pork (approximately 0.5kg)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup onion, chopped
  • salt & pepper, to taste
  • splash of milk – approximately a tablespoon

Combine ground pork, onion, egg, salt & pepper and milk well. Roll mixture into oblong balls about 2 tablespoons in size. Fry on each side (usually 3 sides) until browned and center is cooked through.

Serve hot or cold, plain or with mustard or ketchup.
